Font - I'm watching my future former director going nuts. It's amazing. My 3 months notice ends tomorow. To be fair, since they didn't find any replacement, I offer to take the entire week to write a document about how to perform my job, since I'm litterally the only one in the office who currently knows how to do it.

Font - My 2 managers agreed, my first one even telling me to stop my other tasks (that I wouldn't have time to finish before tomorrow anyway) and focus on that document.

Font - But my director, the higher in the company, is going absolutly nuts. He is constantly coming back and forth, giving me new files to analyse, new clients to phone, new websites to complete, etc... needless to say, he seems to be just realizing the amount of work I was providing, and is really scared about the future potential fallout.

Font - I'm really divided between finishing my document and not doing any of the tasks he is asking me, or doing the tasks and leaving the future employee to figure out how to do the job (technically what I did). I won't have time for both. Anyway, that's kinda funny to witness.

Font - So much for saying that engineers are a "dirty race", and for stating that diplomas don't make you valuable and don't make you entitled to have a better salary, dear boss!

Font - (Yeap, I'm an engineer, and those are actual quotes I heard when I was not supposed to. I had confirmation last week when we were talking with another new employee about our salaries, and it appeared that after 2 years of working there with my degree, I was earning 100€ (107$) more than her who had just been hired and had no degree. And she is not particularly well paid either, she is just glad it's more than minimum wage. But even her was appaled by that small amount, and she asked me wh

Font - Waris Retired 9 hr. ago . It's time to move on, you have done more way more than most people. Feel good about a clean and honest break. The possibility of fallout at your old job sounds high. But remember you did your job well and whatever problems the company is facing is on them.

Font - Rhaenelys OP. 8 hr. ago I was responsible for the entire commercial department. And by responsible, I mean I was the only oke working on that department. I had to find job for all the agencies (6 in total) of the company, and let me tell you, that wasn't a nine to five job...

Font - So yes, I won as much contracts as I could before leaving, half of the agencies are booked up until next year. And the work I was finding are worth a couple millions of euros. So that was a lot.

Font - Without someone to do the job, they will likely let a lot of contracts slip, and as a result they are facing huge gap in revenu

Font - Rhaenelys OP. 8 hr. ago Oh yeah, they are already trying to make me come back so I can perform an audit for them. My director never wanted to learn how to perform it. He watched when I practised it, presumably to prepare himself, but next time the subject came he told me that it would be a wast since I was doing really good at the audit
